You may not find brothers who are closer than these two Plano dentists. Born 45 years ago into a family of dentists, Matthew and Chris Miller are identical twins.
They went to college together, then dental school, and now practice dentistry as business partners sharing the same office.
Patients who are fearful sense a warm friendly atmosphere at Miller and Miller, because after all, there isn’t a family business closer than one run by identical twins.
But isn’t it just a little confusing?
“And I joke about it all the time. I have been in here quite a bit. And I joke about the fact that I know that they’re switching off,” said Linda Paulk, one of Dr. Matt’s patients
“I get them confused sometimes,” said Janet May, one of Dr. Chris’s patients.
“I just think it’s a wonderful atmosphere. My entire family, my husband, my two daughters also come see Chris,” May said.
The day we visited their office was their 45th birthday.
Except for Matt’s glasses, patients can’t tell them apart. So do they ever secretly switch places?
“We might have. We’re not going to disclose that,” the brothers said.
Dr. Linda Niessen, clinical professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences and the Office of Communications and Development at Baylor College of Dentistry, hosts Dental Health Check, the only weekly dental feature shot on location in the nation.
