Nearly 1000 Attend Centennial Gala
Hall of Fame and Alumni Award Recipients Named
A sold-out crowd gathered Jan. 22 at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas for a spectacular event celebrating Baylor College of Dentistry's 100th Anniversary. Guests at the black-tie dinner-dance filled the International Ballroom and overflowed into the Venetian Room where they watched the evening's program via video screens.

Five BCD alumni were honored during the event. Dr. Bettye Whiteaker-Hurt and Dr. James S. Cole were named to the BCD Hall of Fame. Dr. Patricia Blanton and Lana Crawford were named Distinguished Alumni. Dr. Jason Cope was named Outstanding Young Alumnus.

Erle Nye, chairman of TXU Corp.'s board and vice chairman of The Texas A&M University System board of regents, was the keynote speaker.
