"Baylor College of Dentistry is pleased to welcome Dr. Dickey and celebrate her achievement," said Dr. James S. Cole (BCD
'75), BCD dean. "This is an exciting time for the health science
center, and I look forward to working with her in the future as the HSC
continues to develop under her leadership." Other
inaugural events are scheduled at the School of Rural Public Health's
South Texas Center for Rural Public Health in McAllen Sept. 5 at 10
a.m. That afternoon, the Coastal Bend Health Education Center will host
Dickey at 4 p.m. On
Sept. 9 at 10 a.m., Dickey will travel to the Institute of Biosciences
and Technology in Houston. At 5:30 p.m., she will address the College
of Medicine's Temple campus. The
Inauguration Ceremony and Convocation is set for Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. in
the George Bush Presidential Conference Center in College Station,
Texas. Faculty members from all the HSC components are invited to wear
